Angled, Recessed Mounting Plate – Single Euro Module

Description

Recessed mounting solution for a single Euro Module.
Designed primarily to allow mounting of a USB module behind our range of tablet wall mounts.

Versions for both single and double UK back boxes with matching screw-hole centres for mounting.

Single back box versions have limited available space remaining in the back box. It is unlikely you will be able to fit a smart switch module (Sonoff, Shelly etc) alongside the Euro Module. The double back box version would be more suitable in this scenario.

Main Details:

• Requires 46mm deep back box
• Top and bottom mounting ears on some metal back boxes will require removal.
• Tested using the Contactum Media Modular 3.1A 15.5W 2-Outlet Type A & C USB Socket available from Screwfix in the UK.
  Modules from other manufacturers may not fit or be suitable. The Contactum module was chosen because it does not generate significant levels of heat, which is a known issue with USB modules of this type.
• Printed in PETG filament manufactured in the UK
• Mounting plate only. Euro module is not included.

• Single – Standard
  Designed to resemble a standard switch plate.
  Dimensions: 86mm x 86mm with a 7mm thick front plate.
• Single – Slimline
  Dimensions: 86mm x 86mm.
  Front plate is only 1.2mm thick allowing for hidden mounting.
• Single: Tablet Wall Mount Compatible
  Similar to slimline (same plate thickness) but has a larger front plate with additional mounting holes, matching those on the rear frames of our tablet wall mounts.
• Double – Standard
  Designed to resemble a standard double swith plate.
  Dimensions: 146mm x 86mm. Faceplate thickness: 7mm
• Double – Slimline
  Dimensions: 146mm x 86mm. Faceplate thickness: 1.2mm
• Double – Tablet Wall Mount Compatible
  Larger faceplate with additional mounting holes matching the outermost mouting holes on our wall mounts. Please note, the double back box mounting holes can only be used if you have purchased a wall mount with double back box mounting option (introduced 5th March 2026).
  Dimensions: 172.6mm x 104mm. Faceplate thickness: 1.2mm

Important Warnings – Please Read Before Purchase!

This is a 3D printed product. PETG has been chosen as the production material due to inherently low combustibility.
However, due to the 3D printed nature of this product, it can/has not been tested to BS 7671: Chapter 42 – Protection against fire, the standard required for enclosures used in electrical installations. As such, use of this mounting solution is entirely at the buyers risk and that risk is deemed to be accepted when purchasing any variation of this product.

When wall mounting a tablet, it is also best practice to implement some form of charge management. Lenovo tablets (Gen2 onwards) offer a charge protection mode designed specifically for permanently powered installations. Samsung tablets also have a mode to restrict charging to 80% of battery capacity. It is important to enable those modes if a tablet is to be permanently powered. For tablets that do not offer charge management, we do not recommend the use of permanent in-wall power solutions without the addition of a smart-relay to manage charging externally via automations.
