    • Desk mounted by attaching optional legs.
  • Cable Entry
Either via rear knock-out plate allowing for hidden cabling or via bottom-facing access point with inbuilt cable tie base.
  • Security
    • The front frame is sized to cover the tablet navigation and notification bars in order to prevent ‘inquisitive’ users from exiting the Give A Little app.
Please note: Give A Little campains with repeat donations enabled will need to be limited to 3 donation amounts to prevent operational areas of the app from being obscured.

The Lenovo Tab M8 Gen 4

The LM84 was based around the Lenovo Tab M8 Gen 4 (no longer in production)  for several reasons:

  • Has in-built battery management settings that allow the tablet to be permanently powered. A power mode is available that keeps the battery state of charge between 40% and 60%. As donation points are likely to be powered at all times, this is an extremely important feature as it prevents battery swelling and reduces associated fire risk.
  • Does not have invasive advertising (such as those on Amazon tablets) that could get in the way of the donation process.
  • Good performance/price balance.

What’s Included?

We only supply the 3D printed Donation Frame, and suitable side security screws.

  • Front Frame with brass, threaded inserts for security screws.
  • Rear Frame.
  • Blanking Plates for unused card reader locations – both SumUp Air and Stripe WisePad blanking plates are included for flexibility.
  • 2 x Power button ‘keys’.
  • If purchasing the optional legs for desk mounting, M4 countersunk mounting screws and nuts are included.

The tablet, card reader, hub and cables are not included.

We do not supply screws for wall mounting as the required fixings will be dependant on the type of wall.

What do I need in addition to the 3D Printed Donation Frame?

You will need to source the following items:

  • Lenovo Tab M8 Gen 4 tablet
Now discontinued but can be purchased via eBay or CEX. Unless you already have the tablet, we strongly recommend looking at the DIY Tab, designed for the Lenovo Tab One which replaced the M8.
NOTE – The mount will ONLY fit the Lenovo M8 Generation (Gen) 4. Do not purchase this mount if you have a different generation of the tablet! Sizing, button location, screen dimensions are all different!
  • Either a SumUp Air, Solo, Solo Lite or Stripe WisePad 3 Card Reader and associated account.
The SumUp readers can be purchased online or in several high street stores.
The Stripe WisePad 3 card reader must be obtained via Give A Little.
  • Give A Little Account
Give A Little provide a low cost and easily customisable app platform for receiving donations: https://givealittle.co
  • UGREEN Hub, Cables and generic USB-C Coupler
Part Numbers (SKUs) are provided in the instruction document linked below.
  • Screws/Fixings/Cable Ties
    • These will be entirely dependant on your chosen mounting method.
    • Rear holes are sized for 4mm screws.
    • Cable ties – just a few. These are optional but help to tidy/secure the internal wiring.
The built in cable tie bases will take up to 2.5mm wide ties.

Assembly & Wiring
Please see the linked PDF Guide for assembly and wiring instructions.

IMPORTANT

We do not provide technical support or advice regarding wall mounting, wiring, or the setup of tablets, card readers, and their associated accounts. This product is strictly a mounting solution designed for those wishing to build a DIY contactless donation point. The linked document is provided solely to illustrate suggested usage with recommended components.

We advise you to carefully assess your technical skills with Android devices, applications and cabling before choosing the DIY route, rather than purchasing a fully supported, pre-assembled solution such as the Payaz TapTile.
