Ikea Rodret Dimmer – Slide on Mount for UK Light Switch

Description

3 part slide on mount for the Ikea Rodret Zigbee Dimmer. Allows non-invasive mounting of the dimmer over a standard UK light switch (single plate).

This item is primarily intended for homes with smart light bulbs installed, allowing a physical barrier to be placed over light switches, preventing them from being turned off, while at the same time, mounting a smart button for controlling lighting via automations. The cover can be slid upwards for easy access to the physcal switch if needed.

The design consists of three parts:

1. Rear frame
   Fit by simply loosening the screws on the switch plate and sliding the rear of the frame behind the plate.
2. Middle Plate
   Slides between the rear frame and front cover, preventing the smart switch from toggling the physical light switch.
3. Front cover
   Slides over the rear frame and middle plate. The smart switch is inserted from the rear of the front cover prior to installation.
